We are visiting people who have dementia. We are doing this with animals. Like rabbits and dogs. Do you have tips for us ? Thank you – Lisa and Ilse

That’s great, guys! Residents LOVE animals–or at least most of them do.

Tips:
– Find out who absolutely loves animals but also find out who hates them/is afraid of them
– Find out what the community requires from you ahead of time (paperwork, vaccination records?)
– Ask the activity director to get the residents together in a room to make it easier on you. That way you can spend the most amount of time with the residents and less looking for them!
