Rachael, my husband has been recently diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. I am at a loss about what this means for my husband as this type of dementia is new to me. Our son does not believe that is an accurate diagnosis. The doctor also said that we need to move closer to our son as we are 4 hours away. I do not know how I am going to do this as my husband also is starting dialysis three times a week and he does not want to move. I need help.

Hi, sounds like there’s a lot going on here. I do offer phone call assistance, and it sounds like you could benefit from that. Here’s the link.

In terms of a quick summary for Dementia with Lewy Bodies, there are a number of symptoms you might see. Some people with Lewy bodies exhibit Parkinson’s symptoms. Others may hallucinate or have fluctuating impairment (different day to day)

Why doesn’t your son think it is an accurate diagnosis?
